WP Social integrates with 14+ social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and more. Your website visitors can share the web content and it will help you to reach new customers, build brand awareness, and increase conversion rates.

To add social share buttons to WordPress, log in to your website and,

Navigate to WP Social > Social Share from WordPress dashboard.

There you’ll find the following settings to configure the social share feature for your website.

Step 1: Share Settings

In this section, you can decide to Use theme default font family. If you choose “Yes”, the share button will use the default font family of the theme installed on your website.

The Social Share Shortcodes are available on this page. You can copy those shortcodes can use them to add social share buttons.

Step 2: Providers

Then move to the “Providers” tab. In this section, you can configure social media platforms (providers) and their settings for content sharing.

Enable social media platforms:

You can decide which social media platforms you want to add to your web pages for sharing content. To enable a provider, turn the toggle button to ON as shown in the image below:

Click on the Settings button to configure a provider’s settings. Once you click the settings, a popup window will appear. In that window the following features are available:

  1. Default Share Count: You can set an initial value for the share count. The number you enter in this field will be displayed as a share count by default. [Note: Once the user clicks on the share button, the number will be reset and the count will start from 1.]
  2. Text Below The Number: You can show a text under the number count.
  3. Label Name: You can change the label name of the social media platforms.
  4. Old count: This feature is like the Default Share Count but with a difference. Once you set the initial value in this field, the share count will add up to this number. For example, if you set the number to 30, once a user clicks on the share button, the share count will be 31.
  5. Save Changes: Click the “Save Changes” button to finalize changes.

Step 3: Style Settings

In the Style Settings, there are two types of styles available for share buttons.

  • Primary Content: The share buttons will only appear on a specific part of the page (e.g. Start of the content, end of the content, or both the start and end of the content).
  • Fixed Display: The share buttons will be sticky on the screen and always visible.

You can customize both styles individually.

  1. Show total count: Decide whether to show the total number of share counts.
  2. Layout: Choose the alignment of the share buttons to be Horizontal or Vertical.

  1. Primary Content Position: Select the position of the share buttons.
    • After Content: Show share buttons after the page content.
    • Before Content: Show share buttons before the page content.
    • Both: Show share buttons on both before and after the content.
    • Disable: Share buttons won’t be visible. You have to use the shortcodes to show the social share button.
  1. Select Hover Effects: Choose how the tooltip will appear when users hover the mouse pointer on the button. 10 different styles are available with WPSocial.
  1. Select Share Style: You can choose a button style from the 17+ styles available.

Fixed Display

Select where share buttons will appear when they are fixed on the screen.

  • Left Floating: The buttons are stick to the left side of the screen.
  • Right Floating: The buttons are stick to the right side of the screen.
  • Top Inline: The buttons are stick on the top of the screen.
  • Bottom Inline: The buttons are stick on the top of the screen.

1.10. Limit login attempts

WP Social allows you to limit login attempts on your site. You can decide how many failed login attempts (wrong username/ wrong password) you will allow at a time.

  • Enable the feature by switching the toggle to ON.
  • Set the number of Maximum attempts (failed login attempts).
  • In the Time Lockout (in Minute) field, set the time to lock the login attempts after the user exceeds the maximum number of attempts with failed login.
  • In the Wait for reset (in Minute) field, set how long your users have to wait for a reset after exceeding the maximum attempts.

Finally, click the Save Changes button to finalize the settings.

Step-2: Enable Social Platform for Login

After that, you get to choose which social platforms you want to add to the login options. For that,

  1. Navigate to WP Social > Social Login.
  2. Go to the Providers tab.

  4. Click on the settings to set up each app individually for login.

Getting Started

To allow your visitors to log in with their LINE App account, first, you must create a LINE App. After creating the APP, head over to the plugin on your WordPress dashboard and open the setting to configure Line login for your website. To start the LINE app creation process:

  • Go to the LINE Developers Console.
  • Log into your LINE account if not logged in.
  • Now create a developer account on LINE.

  • Click the “Create my account”.

Now you have created your LINE developer account. The next step of WordPress LINE App integration is to create a provider for the LINE app.

Create a LINE App Login Channel

Then, create a LINE app login channel to connect to the LINE Platform. To do that, click “Create a New Channel” on the Channels tab as shown in the screenshot below.

Fill up the Required Fields and Click “Create”

Immediately after that, a page will pop up with all the relevant fields related to LINE app channel like channel name, channel description, etc. All you have to do is fill up the fields and create a channel.

At this point, you have to go to the WP Social plugin on your WordPress dashboard and get the Callback URL for LINE App integration with WordPress. For that,

  • Navigate to WP Social > Social Login > Providers from your WordPress dashboard.
  • Open the LINE App settings.
  • Click the Getting Started button on LinkedIn login.
  • Copy the “Valid OAuth redirect URL“.

Now go back to the LINE Login channel from the developer console and move to the LINE Login tab. Then,

Find the Callback URL field and click on the Edit button.

Verify the App with the Channel ID and Channel Secret

Right after that, copy both Channel ID and Channel Secret from the channel details as shown above and paste them into the designated fields in the WP Social plugin. For that,

  • Switch to the Basic Settings tab.
  • Copy the Channel ID.
  • Copy the Channel secret.

Set up WP Social for LINE App integration with WordPress

After the successful LINE app creation, the next step of LINE App integration with WordPress is to add LINE with the Client ID and Secret on the WP Social plugin on your WordPress dashboard. For that, first log in to your WordPress site, then,

  • Navigate to WP Social > Social Login from your dashboard.
  • Switch to the Providers tab.
  • Click to Settings under LINE.
  • In the popup, move to the Settings tab.
  • Enter the App ID in the required field.
  • Enter the App Secret in the required field.
